Dont Splash Guide

Dont Splash is a Roblox horror obby by Bacon Theory, released on October 17, 2026. You cross nine flooded rooms, from Pillar Hall to the Locked Exit, without touching the water, because an invisible monster hunts by sound. Throw stones or bottles to pull it away, and read the exit's four-digit code on the way.

What is Dont Splash on Roblox?

Dont Splash (styled DONT SPLASH on Roblox) is a horror obby made by the Roblox group Bacon Theory. Its description says it is inspired by the eerie atmosphere of the Poolrooms and House of the Locust: tiled rooms half full of still water, and something in it you cannot see. The rule is in the title. Touch the water, make a splash, and the monster comes for you.

The game went live on October 17, 2026 and took off fast. On October 30 the Roblox API listed about 94.5 million visits, 292,000 favorites and around 60,000 people playing at once, in servers of up to 10. Roblox files it under Obby & Platformer, Runner, with mild fear and violence content labels.

Do not mix it up with “It Hears The Water [DONT SPLASH]”, a separate survival game by the group It is Deaf, created on October 14. Some “Dont Splash hard mode” videos are about that game. The real Dont Splash has place ID 119958473240233.

How a Dont Splash run works

  1. Form a team in the lobbyStep into a portal alone or with a team of two, three or four players, according to Sportskeeda's beginner guide.
  2. Pick a difficultyEasy has smaller rooms, more platforms and fewer coins. Normal has bigger rooms, fewer platforms and more coins. Hard unlocks after you clear Normal twice and pays the most.
  3. Cross the roomsJump from platform to platform through every room. Rotating bridges, sinking platforms and noisy valves are the main obstacles.
  4. Escape and spend coinsClearing a run pays coins. Back in the lobby, spend them on upgrades and tools such as stones, bottles and flares.

On PC you move with WASD or the arrow keys, jump with Space, interact with E, and throw an equipped item with the left mouse button. You carry three tool slots by default.

All 9 Dont Splash stages in order

The order below comes from the stage timestamps in KeeTee's full playthrough of the NEW STAGES version, and matches Mediastic's list of the new rooms and Vitinnn's nine-part full game video. Gamewave also describes nine rooms. The first four rooms were in the launch version; the October 24 update added the next four before the exit.

Fan wikis disagree with each other on stage order and add rules like “dark-edged platforms never sink”. We only list what several sources agree on, and will add per-stage tricks as guides confirm them.

How the monster hunts, and how to lose it

The monster is invisible; you only hear the water. It reacts to sound, so a splash from a player or a thrown item tells it where to go. That is also how you fight back: throwing a stone or bottle into the water far from your team pulls it away from the platforms you need, a trick both Sportskeeda and Zac Worthy's walkthrough show.

  • Throw away from your path. Land the stone or bottle on the far side of the room, then cross while the monster checks the noise.
  • Valves are loud. Turning a valve makes noise, so have a distraction ready before you start.
  • Fall in, call for help. In a team, a teammate can rescue you. The Rescue Rope pass and the Rescue Speed upgrade exist for exactly this.
  • Flares help in a pinch. The Flare Radius upgrade suggests how useful they are once the monster is close.

The Dont Splash exit code

The last room is a locked exit with a number pad. Gamewave says the four digits are written on pillars earlier in the run, and recommends taking a picture or noting them as you pass. Walkthrough videos call this room the coded exit. The digits are part of the run, so copying someone else's code from a video is not a reliable shortcut.

This number lock is the only “code” in the game. Dont Splash has no redeem codes for coins or items; see the Dont Splash codes page for what we checked.

Upgrades and game passes

Coins from runs buy upgrades in the lobby. Sportskeeda's upgrade list matches the six max-upgrade game passes on the Roblox store, so these are the stats that matter:

Dont Splash upgrades
UpgradeWhat it improves
Pebble SkippingYour thrown pebbles
Rope ReachHow far your rescue rope reaches
Throwing RangeHow far you can throw stones and bottles
Rescue SpeedHow fast you pull a teammate out
Flare RadiusHow large an area a flare covers
Toy BatteryHow long a toy keeps running

Each upgrade can also be maxed with a 75 Robux pass, and an All Upgrades Maxed pass costs 149 Robux. Other passes are 2x Cash (99), Rescue Rope (30), a 4th tool slot (99) and a 5th tool slot (149). None of them is needed to finish the game.

Official Dont Splash links
